Pelvic Fertility Ultrasound & Antral Follicle Count – £150

An ultrasound assessment of your reproductive organs.
Includes:

  • Antral follicle count, where appropriate
  • Discussion of the ultrasound findings
  • Assessment for fibroids, ovarian cysts and polycystic ovarian morphology
The scan may be transabdominal or transvaginal depending on clinical requirements and suitability.

This service may be used to monitor a natural menstrual cycle or as part of treatment directed by an external fertility clinic.

Four-Scan Follicle Tracking Package – £395

A package of four ultrasound scans performed at appropriate stages of the same menstrual or treatment cycle.
The scans allow us to monitor:
  • Follicle growth and development
  • Development of the dominant follicle
  • Endometrial thickness and appearance
  • Changes occurring around the expected time of ovulation
All four scans must be used within the same menstrual or fertility-treatment cycle unless otherwise agreed.

AMH is a hormone produced by the ovaries. Measuring it can provide information about ovarian reserve, although it cannot predict natural conception or egg quality on its own.

What does a pelvic fertility ultrasound assess?

The scan assesses the uterus, ovaries and endometrial lining. It may also include an antral follicle count and identify findings such as fibroids, ovarian cysts or polycystic ovarian morphology.

What is follicle tracking?

Follicle tracking uses a series of ultrasound scans to monitor the growth of ovarian follicles and changes in the endometrial lining during a menstrual or fertility-treatment cycle.

Is one follicle-tracking scan enough?

A single scan can provide useful information at a specific point in the cycle. Multiple scans usually provide a clearer picture of follicle development and the expected timing of ovulation.

We offer a single scan for £150 or a package of four scans for £395.

When should fertility testing be performed?

AMH can normally be tested at any stage of the menstrual cycle. FSH, LH and oestradiol are often measured early in the cycle. Follicle-tracking appointments are individually timed according to cycle length and treatment requirements.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book any of our fertility tests, assessments or scans without a GP referral.

Can these tests confirm whether I can become pregnant?

No fertility test can guarantee or exclude natural conception. Testing provides information about reproductive health that must be considered alongside age, medical history, menstrual history and, where relevant, the fertility of both partners.
